Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, and offline caches — store data in your browser so a page can remember information between visits. Because Weft360 products are offline-first, some of these technologies are essential: they allow WeftStudent (SIS), WeftLearn (LMS), and WeftPeople (HRM) to keep working when connectivity drops and to synchronise safely when it returns.

• Strictly necessary: authentication, session integrity, security, load balancing, and remembering your language or region.
• Offline and synchronisation storage: caching records and queued changes locally so licensed products such as WeftData can sync to national EMIS/GESMIS channels once a connection is available.
• Preferences: interface settings such as collapsed menus, selected dashboards, and saved report filters used by WeftReport.
• Aggregate analytics: privacy-respecting, non-identifying measurement of page performance and feature usage to improve the platform.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, data brokers, or social media retargeting tags. We do not sell data collected through cookies, and we never use identifiable student data for marketing. See the Privacy Policy for the full commitments that apply to student and staff records.

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in for the duration of your visit; expires when the session ends.
• Security cookie — protects forms such as the demo booking form and partnership enquiries against abuse.
• Preference cookie — stores interface choices; typically retained up to 12 months.
• Analytics cookie — aggregate usage measurement; typically retained up to 14 months.
• Local storage / offline cache — holds queued institutional records on school devices until synchronisation completes.

A limited number of providers may set cookies when they deliver part of our service, for example hosting, error monitoring, video, or messaging gateways integrated with WeftConnect. These providers are bound by written data-processing terms, as described in the sharing and disclosure section of our Privacy Policy.

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
• Blocking strictly necessary cookies or local storage will break sign-in and offline operation of the products.
• Institution administrators can set device-level policies for shared school computers.
• Where consent is required for non-essential analytics, you may withdraw it at any time by writing to info@weft360.com.

Where a school, district office, or ministry licenses our platform, that institution is the data controller for the records processed in it, and the responsibilities set out in our Terms & Conditions apply — including device security for locally cached data on shared school hardware.
